  • Colleen O'Grady

    Pilates Instructor

Colleen has had an excitement for Pilates since 2006 when she took her first Pilates class. Her passion for the practice exploded a few years later when Pilates helped restore movement and strength in her body prior to and post three surgeries. Pilates felt both natural and challenging, yet low impact on the joints. She loved how Pilates made her feel stronger, helped her experience more alignment in her body and allowed her to thrive more in life. Colleen became nationally certified through the Pilates Method Alliance and Balanced Body. Most teachers love to learn as much as they love to teach and Colleen continues to learn alongside you, progressing her personal practice and education. Colleen feels blessed to be “working” in an industry that allows her to help others create change in their lives and their bodies. Pilates has been a gift to her and she feels excited to share this gift with you.

  • Stephanie Kraft

    Pilates Instructor

Stephanie has had a passion for movement and the physical body her whole life. It has been a journey for her however to find her true calling of what she felt passionate about to make into her career. She started her career as a firefighter in which after four years discovered it did not fulfill her in the end. Following this she continued her college education studying nutrition and pre-physical therapy, meanwhile getting certified and teaching as a personal trainer in 2008. In her first year of personal training she was introduced to pilates and instantly fell in love with it's unique form of movement. She absorbed as much as she possibly could at her local pilates studio and incorporated it a great deal with most of her clients throughout the years. As her studies were focused on physical therapy, it took a bit longer for her to get the time to fit in a pilates certification program. She received her BS in exercise science in 2014 and decided after so many years of education she would take a more holistic route and teach yoga and pilates rather than continuing with the PT route. She is thrilled to finally be doing what she loves, which is helping people heal their bodies through the practice of pilates. Stephanie has now been teaching mat pilates, yoga and reformer pilates for over a year now.

  • Carrie Weigel

    Pilates Instructor

Carrie discovered the endless benefits of Pilates after a double bunionectomy surgery (Physical Therapist recommendation). Soon after she took her first class Carrie knew Pilates would be part of her life for forever. The low impact movements of Pilates were a lifesaver to her body after CrossFit and gymnastics in her earlier years. Her life has truly transformed, mind body and spirit. After many years in the hotel and resort industry, travel, and an extremely rewarding career in senior housing, it was time for Carrie to make some changes. She completed a comprehensive instructor training which included over 500 hundred hours of practical work, observations, and apprenticeship on the work and equipment of Joseph H. Pilates. Carrie is thrilled to share her passion with you and help you look and feel amazing inside and out. Carrie loves the Club Pilates family and can’t wait to meet you.

  • Jamila Hastie

    Pilates Instructor

Jamila Hastie is 28 years old and has been athletically engaged since a very young age. She’s originally from Atlanta, Georgia and is a graduate of Georgia State University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in History. Jamila spent the following years living in San Francisco, Chiang Mai, Thailand, and Los Angeles. Shortly after relocating to Los Angeles, she took an Intro Pilates class and was hooked instantly. Less than a year later she obtained her certification through Club Pilates in North Hollywood. Driven by intuitive motivation, Jamila is inspired by her clients and is a mere guide to help them achieve their fitness goals. She constantly seeks to learn and refine her teaching skills so that she can guide individuals from all walks of life towards an active and balanced lifestyle. Throughout class, Jamila consistently provides descriptive and motivating cues that aim to simultaneously achieve correct form, incorporate breath, enhance the mind-body connection, foster confidence and develop abdominal strength.

  • Vonie (Venita) Kalich

    Pilates Instructor

Vonie took her first Pilates class in 2002, and it was love at first class. As a professional athlete, Vonie found Pilates improved her performance, reduce injuries, speeded up recovery from all the teaching she did and helped her to find better balance within her body. Vonie graduated from Portland State University with a BS in Physical Activity & Exercise, as well as a BS in Community Health and has taught fitness for 28 years and counting. She began her STOTT PILATES™/® instructor training in 2003 and taught Pilates up until 2017 when she took a sabbatical from teaching fitness. She’s back at it to help others to find the joy and benefits she found in the Pilates Method. Vonie believes that Pilates challenges the body’s functional capacity for greater strength and flexibility, which sets a solid foundation for quality of movement in everyday living. In her spare time, Vonie is a Life Coach. She enjoys spending time with her horse, Cody and her granddaughter Madelyn.

  • Helene Kuperstein

    Pilates Instructor

Helene was born and raised in Southern California and relocated to the Pacific Northwest in early 2018. Helene started her journey with Pilates in 2014 when she decided it was time to take charge of her health. Helene had been aware of Pilates for some time and had studied Ballet for several years as a child. She fell in love with the movement and the science behind it, so much so that she wanted to become an Instructor so she could share the love and benefits of Pilates with others. Helene is trained in both Classical and Contemporary Comprehensive Pilates. She also holds Certifications in Barre Above with Pilates Focus, Total Barre, Balletone by Barre Above, TP Trigger Point Therapy Level 1 and is a Qualified Instructor by TRX for Suspension Training System. Helene is currently completing her Certification for Bodhi Suspension System by Balanced Body and Group Fitness Instructor through AFAA. She is also working on her Nutritional Counseling Certifications through Precision Nutrition in order to have more knowledge while living the healthy lifestyle. Helene is constantly looking to further her knowledge/education and bring new movements and exercises to her classes. In her spare time, she is working on a line of “clean cheat” baked goods.

  • Schlyce Martinez

    Apprentice Instructor

Schlyce Martinez started her Pilates journey in 2018 when she joined Club Pilates. With her background in dance, Pilates was intuitive and in sync with her personal style of exercise. She loved the way it made her body feel and wanted to share that experience with others. Schlyce received training and certification from Club Pilates in Vancouver, WA. Schlyce likes to create a comfortable environment, which brings better student-teacher communication, thus leading to a better overall experience for the student. Schlyce attended Central Washington University, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Economics and later earned a Masters of Accounting and Financial Management and a M.B.A. in Public Administration from DeVry University. In addition, Schlyce loves to travel and has a passion for making people feel their best through the practice of Pilates and her goal at the end of each session is to have people feeling stronger, more flexible and relaxed.

  • Michele Dorney

    Pilates Instructor

Michele was introduced to Pilates in 2000. Having been a competitive athlete for many years she saw how much Pilates benefited building her core strength and flexibility back to what it once was. In 2004 the fitness director, at the new gym she attended, encouraged her to pursue getting a fitness certification. Having a passion for health and fitness Michele took her advice and was certified first by AFAA, in group fitness and then pursued her Pilates mat and apparatus certification, in NYC, through Pilates Institute of America. She decided to also pursue her personal certification through The National Academy of Sports Medicine and perinatal certification through Healthy Moms. It was in the Pilates Studio where she really found her passion. She found that Pilates improved daily function for her clients as well as improved their level of fitness in other fitness disciplines or sporting activities they engaged in. Having done Pilates through her pregnancies she is excited to share all the benefits pilates brings to pregnancy, from maintaining pelvic floor health and core strength to support the spine and changes in the muscles as pregnancy progresses to easing labor, delivery and recovery. Michele started CrossFit in 2014 and started coaching in 2017. As she became more involved in CrossFit she realized how much the athletes would benefit from adding Pilates to their weekly schedule and is really hoping to to bring her CrossFit and Pilates communities together. When she is not at CrossFit or in the Pilates Studio, Michele loves spending time with her husband, three children and dog.
